Frequently Asked Questions

Contact John Macomber if you have any questions or need clarification on any rules issues.

Can I sign up for the event before paying?
• Yes, just email John Macomber with your information to reserve a spot.

Does the $65 entry fee include admission to the convention or do I need to sign up for the convention seperately?
• The $65 entrance fee includes full registration to Strategicon OrcCon 2008 for all four days.

The most current rules clarifications from the Games Workshop FAQs for all army books will be in use.

You can download the Skaven FAQ that will be in use during the Broadside Bash here. If Games Workshop releases a Skaven FAQ before the Broadside Bash it will be used instead.

Storm of Chaos Armies are not allowed.

Chaos Dwarf armies will use the unofficial Indy GT list which can be found at http://www.filedropper.com/fdwarfsofchaos_1.

Ogre Kingdoms Rhinox Cavalry: Ogre Rhinox cavalry may be taken as Dogs of War units as per the rules located in White Dwarf. The Iron Skin Tribe list is not allowed.

Gut Magic and Rhinox Riders: For this tournament, none of the unit augmenting Gut Magic spells (Bull Gorger, Tooth Cracker and Troll Guts) can be cast upon Rhinox Riders.

Regardless of Games Workshops's confusing FAQ, this is how things will be ruled at the Broadside Bash, in all other cases the current FAQ applies.
  • Characters who are monsters, are still monsters. Monstrous Mounts, Greater Demons, etc. They are still consider "Monsters" for all spells and effects.
  • Tomb Kings incantations can not be cast due to a 5-6 on the Miscast Table.
  • Regardless of the rules and/or FAQ for Wheeling, no individual model may ever exceed its maximum movement (marching, charging and flee/pursuit/overun aside).
  • Unless specifically exempted all weapons with Nx Multiple Shot (i.e. 2x multiple shot), take a -1 penalty to hit, if shooting more than one time.
  • Demons and Undead and other units which operate under the same kind of crumble/instability rules will give up thier banners when the unit is destroyed in close combat.
  • Stubborn means that you ignore break check and combat based modifiers only, it does not mean that you may ignore LD modifiers. For example the Ogre Skullmantle may lower the effective LD of a Stubborn unit, and they will roll Stubborn on this effective LD. Also Stubborn does not apply to when losing combat to a larger unit fear causing unit (as you automatically fail the LD check and only a double 1s can save you).
